Psychotherapy is a collaborative process that supports emotional well-being through self-exploration, coping strategies, and personal growth. Rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, it fosters a nonjudgmental and empathetic space where clients feel heard and empowered. Integrating evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotional regulation, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for anxiety and OCD, and an eclectic approach tailored to individual needs, therapy provides a dynamic, client-centered path toward healing and resilience.

I’m Joanna, or Jo, for short; pronouns she/they. I left my career in tech to focus on my passion to help people towards healing and living better lives. I value authenticity, mutual respect, and self-agency, so I work collaboratively with my clients. I hold space for all persons, regardless of their race, gender, sexuality, religion, and intersectional identities, and I strive to do so in a compassionate, non-judgmental way.

I draw from my lived experiences as someone who is a co-parent, Filipino immigrant to Canada, queer, neurodivergent, and in trauma recovery. I believe that spirituality is completely personal, and I am deeply spiritual with a background in Christian Theology & leanings towards Buddhist Philosophy.
